Rumours of a PlayStation branded phone have resurfaced, with the latest chatter suggesting Sony Ericsson is working on a smartphone powered by Android.

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe unsurprisingly told GamesIndustry.biz this morning that it would not "comment on rumour and speculation" on Engadget's report that the device could launch as soon as October.
